Parenting Prep Class

About the Class

This class is an educational opportunity for birthing persons and their support person(s) on how to navigate their postpartum journey in the hospital and at home. The topics covered in the class will include but not be limited on how to swaddle, change diapers, infant feeding/cues, postpartum healing, hormonal changes, car seat safety, newborn testing, selecting a pediatrician, postpartum depression, and how to be a supportive partner. This class is a great opportunity to feel prepared navigating the postpartum chapter as a first time parent!

Classes will be taught on Thursday Evenings or Saturday afternoons.

Sarah Margaret Mason

MSN, RN-CBC.

Sarah Margaret is a dedicated and passionate Registered Nurse with a Master of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion. She is currently working as a Full-Time Registered Nurse at Northside Hospital Atlanta on the Family Centered Care unit. She joins our team as an educator for our Parenting Prep class. Sarah is experienced in providing high-quality patient care as a Mother/Baby nurse for 3+ years with certifications as a Level II preceptor and a certified breastfeeding counselor. Known for being a hardworking patient advocate, educator, and recent recipient of the prestigious Daisy Award. Committed to advancing nursing practices through continuous learning in various women’s health topics. Hobbies include running road races, traveling, and cheering on the Dawgs in the fall!
